Not surgery: Thermage may tighten the skin, but it should not be considered a tummy tuck. Thermage is not a surgical procedure and does not get the same results you would get with surgery. That said, it is not surgery so there is less downtime and anesthetic risk to go with the lower results.

Minimal!: If you need a tummy tuck, thermage will not provide any improvement even close to real surgery. The only "benefit" is to whomever you pay for the no down-time treatment(s) since you will still truly need a surgical tummy tuck! so if you like the idea of spending money and high expectation for scant to no result, choose thermage. If you want a real result, choose a plastic surgeon and a tummy tuck!

Minimal to None.: Be very careful about nonsurgical modalities that promise “tummy tuck” results. These modalities end up wasting patients' time/resources. Tummy tuck surgery involves removal of “excess” skin/fatty tissue and re approximation of abdominal wall muscles that may have spread with pregnancy and/or weight gain/loss. I hope this helps.

Tummy tuck: Unfortunately, there is no non-surgical treatment that would eliminate the need for a tummy tuck if it is indicated.

Not comparable: Thermage, and machines like it, give a very minor tightening effect to the skin. It's not really even honestly comparable to the dramatic improvement you can get with a tummy tuck. While it sounds appealing to avoid surgery, the truth is that most people are disappointed with these non-surgical methods.
