Tendon adhesions: Scarring of the flexor tendons can impair use of the finger. Early on the restricting scar can be lengthened by good hand therapy. After 12 weeks it is likely surgery will be needed to free up the adherent tendons. If impairment is significant, you should seek the consult of a hand surgeon.
