I had a hand injury over a month ago and cannot get my middle finger down all the way when i form a fist and it still hurts. i was told the injury is over a1 pulley and mri will not show what is wrong, will need exploratory surgery. is this true?

I do not know about the hand but I feel it is ludicrous to attempt a surgery going in “ blind” without films . Even if they show “nothing” that will help the surgery. It can help prepare for the unexpected. The more information you can establish the better the result I believe
