ANA?: We have antibodies in our blood that repel invaders such as virus and bacteria. Antinuclear antibodies (anas) are unusual antibodies that bind to structures within the nucleus of cells. The nucleus contains the dna, the primary genetic material. Anas are found in patients with autoimmune diseases. Interpreting a value and pattern without the remainder of history and physical is not feasible.
