These results are most consistent with past syphilis, now gone -- either in response to previous antibiotic treatment, or your immune system cleared the infection. However, there is a slight chance the TPHA is false positive and you never had syphilis; an additional test (like FTA-ABS or EIA) may sort it out. See a genitourinary medicine, infectious disease, or STD specialist.
