A pressure garment: A good pressure garment will help control the swelling and give you support. Your surgeon will usually recommend a garment or include it as part of your procedure.

Tummy Tuck Garments: Loose-fitting clothing over a compression garment. To the surgery center, patients wear sweats commonly so they don't have to lift their arms and can be helped into their clothing more easily. The compression garment is to help wound healing. It is worn for the first few months.

Gentle compression: A gentle compression is usually recomended for 3 weeks and sometimes up to 6 weeks following tummy tuck surgery. This will help to diminish bruisng and swelling and is thought to decrease the the potential for hematoma and seroma.

Depend on level: Particularly agressive and prolonged sex without lubricants may lead to excessive frictional trauma that predisposes to injury and swelling. However, other sources such as infection or irritation or trauma or allergic responses to lubricants or spermicdal agents should also be considered.

Cause?: Certainly ice nearly always helps but prevention is key as well as identifying cause. If friction is to blame lubricants may help, however it could also be due to sensitivity to applied products such as lubricants, spermicidal agents or latex allergy/sensitivity. Anti-inflammatories may also help. Make sure std is not to blame & use appropriate precautions. Positions & specific sexual activities?

Double check with GYNE: Although pimples are likely to resovle on their own, my concern is that this may represent something other than a simple pimple. If this does not resolve within 10 days, please see your gyne for an evaluation and possible biopsy or culture.

After Tummy Tuck: Your plastic surgeon will likely have a binder or garment for you. Some plastic surgeons however do not use binders/garments. Otherwise, loose fitting comfortable clothing that open in the front will be best. Best wishes.
