Chalazion- chronic: There are some glands called meibomian glands in the lids , when their ducts become clogged and infected with staph.Bacteria, the lesions are called styes /hordeolum-acute .If stye becomes chronic it is chalazion. Trt is with hot compresses, antibiotic/steroids for acute ones. When chalazion doesn't go away with hot compress/removal of the debris along lid margins mechan.See an eye doc.-for surg.
