Stye: Another term for stye is hordeolum which is the medical term from the Latin hordeum which means barleycorn grain. There are external hordeolum which are infection of the eye lid and internal which are infection of meibomian glands which are holocrine exocrine glands on the inside of the tarsal plate. Infections can dilate these glands. Possible swelling could be permanent.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, and physical examination if the leskon is getting better, even if slowly, you may watch and wait. If other lesions appear or this one gets worse, it would be prudent to see an eye doctor. Wish you good health!
