Many Causes...: Right after surgery, "transit" through your bowels can slow temporarily. This can cause "bloating." also, if the procedure was performed laparoscopically, the carbon dioxide used to help the surgeon perform the procedure more safely can remain inside you for a time causing the same sensations. After more than a day or two, however, it's best to speak directly with your own provider. Don't delay!

Previous surgery: Incisional hernia are due to the sutures pulling through the tissue after previous operations. Many reasons for this, and it occurs about 15-20% if the time. The other symptoms are not necessarily related, and are not specific to any one diagnosis.
