Gastritis: You must be referring to a hiatal hernia involving your cardia, in which case yes, that can cause you bloating of your stomach. Taking a proton pump inhibitor should take care of the gastritis. However, a large hiatal hernia that is symptomatic often requires surgery to correct it.
