Can having gerd and oesophagitis with a small hitus hernia in the upper stomach chest etc cause either breathless and pressure like symptom bloating?

Yes you can: Gerd s will give those symptoms , due to regurgitation of gastric contents into esophagus , size of hernia has no correlation , big or small h hernia , some times big hernia may not even give symptoms ( gerd s).

Maybe: Gerd can cause many symptoms. Shortness of breath can occur if reflux enters the airway. This can be evaluated with a ph probe. Bloating symptoms may be related to diet, sodas, gastroparesis and other conditions. An evaluation by a GI doctor can help determine if you have laryngopharyngeal reflux.
