Not diabetes?: Diabetes is most likely and needs full evaluation including before meal and 2 hr after meal glucose testing. There could be Insulin resistance with am fasting hyperglycemia even with a1c < 6.5. Prolonged fast can cause ketones to spill into urine. Large carbohydrate load with blood gluocse after above 180 mg/dl coincident with a urine check could potentially cause positive urine glucos.
