Marfan's Syndrome: Marfan syndrome is cause by an abnormal gene responsible for a protein that provides strength to connective tissue. Both unexplained stretch marks and scoliosis can be seen in marfan's syndrome.

Marfan's?: Could be coincidental (ie both present for different reasons) or they could both be manifestations of marfan's syndrome. Other signs of this would be a tall skinny body habitus with loose ligaments and long slender fingers.

Depends: Most scoliosis cases begin during adolescence when growth can be rapid. This is also the time stretch marks can occur. Most cases of patients that have stretch marks and scoliosis are usually not related. There are some fairly rare conditions, however, that can cause stretch marks and scolosis, most are genetic conditions that effect the way connective tissues are made in the body. Thank you.
