Mild: This is a fairly small curve. For people who are young (child or adolescent) it may need watching to see if it worsens (gets larger). A young and middle-aged adult with a curve of this size tends to stay the same until later in life (usually age in the sixties and beyond).

Moderate: If you have growth left we would consider bracing you. If you don't we would observe with yearly x rays. You are certainly not in the surgical range at 30 degrees if it is idiopathic.
