Acid Reflux: There can be many symptoms for acid reflux. Burning in the abdomen is the most common, and is generally known as heartburn. If you experienced this symptom, especially when laying down, you most likely have acid reflux. If you have any issues with anxiety, these symptoms may worsen your anxiety and produce a tingling sensation over your body. You should see your family practice physician.

Treat the reflux: In many cases, once more severe things have been ruled out, it comes down to treating the reflux and monitoring the outcome. If you symptoms go away with behavior modification and medication, then you have your answer. This is called "empiric" treatment. If you symptoms worsen or are not improving, let your doctor know.
