Sliding hiatus: A sliding hiatal hernia may not always show up an Ultrasound. The hernia literally slides up and down, above then below the diaphragm muscle. Minimize or avoid tobacco , coffee, alcohol, NSAIDS, and eating large meals. Lose some weight (5%), avoid tight fitting clothing.
