Why would it matter if when pushing down on thigh tumor it hurts to extend leg? when the doctor did not push down on the tumor no pain with extending

Not unusual: Sounds like pressure on the tumor produces pain when you extend your leg but not when it is not pressed. Sounds like it is possibly pressing on a nerve or a nearby sensitive structure - a bursa possibly?
