Swelling?: Usually swelling due to a knee injury does not extend all the way down the leg. It makes me concerned for a possible blood clot, or DVT. If that is present, it is an emergency to get it taken care of. If your entire lower leg is swollen, I would go to the emergency room . Do not delay. Good luck.

I have had xrays on my left knee to see what is wrong with it due to it being swollen and hurting back in July. I was diagnosed with have patella in both knees. After physical therapy, my swelling went down - but now its back when I am moving a lot. It doesnt hurt but there is a lot of fluid on the knee and it seems to go away when I work out. But swells when Im doing daily activities: walking, etc. wondering if I need to go back to the doctor or continue PT exercises Swollen Left Knee?
