A mass in the liver: Hepatic refers to the liver. Since you already had an ultrasound we can assume it's not a cyst. So if you have some sort of solid mass it could be something common like a hemangioma which is benign. If you have a history of taking birth control pills adenoma is also possible. All sorts of cancers can involve the liver. Definite diagnosis will likely require a needle biopsy of the liver. Good luck.
