Depends on size &: This depends on the size of your curve and its location in the spine, if it is under 50 degrees it will not progress or be an issue unless in the lower back &/or you lose bone density, if in the lower back, higher likelihood of leading to back pain especially if overweight, smoke & do not exercise regularly. If the curve involves the lower back, it alters the mechanics & accelerates wear.

Depends: The term structural scoliosis just means that it is a true scoliosis and not secondary to another cause. The prognosis and expectations for a structural curve are primarily based upon the size and location of the curve and whether or not the patient has completed their growth. Thank you for the question.
