Intensive care: The patient experience varies between intensive care units. Certain factors than can affect this are visitation policies, presence of 24 hour in house intensivist coverage, whether it is a teaching institution (presence of residents, fellows, medical students), rounding policies (do rounds include families, are rounds multidisciplinary). Certain universal things are the presence of monitors/alarms.
