No clear answer: Depending on the circumstance of the illness and the care needs of the patient, there may not have been time in the er. As long as the patient contact was contacted as soon as practical i would find it hard to fault the er for not taking the time. The health and needs of the er patient are the main priority.

It can depend: upon the actual condition of the patient and if they give permission to have this individual contacted. Not a simple question to answer.
