Is it right for a psychiatrist in a psych unit to yell at their patients?

No.: It also depends on what occurred. When someone in a psychiatric unit is assaulting another patient or staff, the psychiatrist may have to yell to get the attention of the assaulting patient to stop the assault. It is extremely unusual for a psychiatrist to yell at a patient .
