A member asked:

Should i continue to do brief work in a medical unit where a former patient tested positive for covid-19? it appears some staff there had to be tested for the virus although they continue to work until results are in.

Personal choice: At age 75 years old - that does put you in a higher risk age group for COVID 19. Questions would include: how well ventilated is the unit? Have you & your coworkers consistently worn masks and maintained at least 6 foot distance? Have you been near anyone who had obvious respiratory tract symptoms?Have you considered staying home until it is clarified if your co-workers are covid positive?

Agree with Dr. F: If you can carryout your functions remotely, it would be prudent to do that from home till the results of tests are known. Even if you are not able to work remotely, being safe and staying home would be appropriate. Wish you good health!
