Sometimes: Sometimes certain diagnoses are applied to more women vs men, and problems can be missed because our index of suspicion may not be high enough. For instance, heart attack symptoms may differ in men vs women, but both genders will be just as sick. Some doctors may also assume that women are "hysterical" rather than understanding they may have a complicated health problem. We have a lot to learn.
