Alcohol may irritate: Alcohol may irritate the GI tract in a patient with crohn's and exacerbate symptoms of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and GI bleeding. It could also worsen malabsorption which could be a problem for some crohn's patients. Scotch whiskey shouldn't be any worse than other types of alcohol however.
