Not a big deal...: This is almost always done in the office with local anesthesia only and takes about 20-30 minutes. Sutures are removed from the front of the earlobe in about 3-4 days and from behind the earlobe in 1-2 weeks. I have my patients wait for at least 6 weeks before re-piercing.
