13 months or one: If it was 16 months ago then surely you are a good candidate for tummy tuck. If it was a month ago then you need to wait till the lower abdominal tissues are not inflamed.. Your OB can tell you when the inflammation has subsided. Also i would wait till you lost the baby weight and your weight is stable.

Minimum 6 mos: Ideally you should be at your ideal body weight or back to your pre-pregnancy weight. Also, the inflammation from the c-section should have settled down. This is usually a minimum of 6 months but may take longer. Do not be afraid to seek consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can help you decide optimal timing. Good luck!

3-6 months later: I usually advise patients to wait on average 3-6 months after pregnancy or abdominal surgery to have a tummy tuck. It is also advised to do it after childbearing is complete.

Ideal Patient: the “ideal” patient for tummy tuck surgery is one who has completed pregnancies, is psycho socially/emotionally/financially stable, has an excellent social support system surrounding him/her, is capable of arranging enough recovery time and who has reached a long-term stable weight. If you meet these criteria, you should be able to proceed at any time.

3 months: Complete healing takes a minimum of 3 months. Once this passes, then you can seek a qualified plastic surgeon for treatment. Always check with the american board of medical specialties. They will name the board and give you members names.

When you're ready : You are well-healed at this point. If you are planning another pregnancy, wait until after that. Otherwise, go ahead and see a plastic surgeon.
