Yes or no: There are several different types of scoliosis. There is a scoliosis that results from congenitlal (born with) deformities within the spine that are the cause of that one type of scoliosis. It is called congenital scoliosis. There are other types that develop and there is some genetic basis for idiopathic scoliosis or what we see in adolescents most commonly.
