Many things: Most dental issues related to pregnancy deal with gum problems. However, the dentist should evaluate your dental needs as normally. He will look for cavities, TMJ issues, oral cancer screen, gum tissues...Etc. Make sure the dentist uses a lead apron with a thyroid collar if x-rays are necessary. The important issue is that some dental diseases may affect the health of the fetus.
