In general, leaving an infected tooth in your mouth poses more risk to you and your unborn child than proper dental care with certain restrictions and precautions.

Absolutely: If the tooth must be extracted now and cannot wait 6 or more months, then your dentist will consult with your OBGYN regarding the procedure. Better off not getting an infection.

It is recommended: Dental care, teeth removal and dental anesthesia is safe and essential during pregnancy. Pregnancy is not a reason to defer routine dental care or treatment. Good luck!
