Psychiatric Ward: It is actually fun, ofcourse depending on which unit you work in (acute or long-term). You get to interact with patients & provide support & guidance.

It can vary : Considerably depending on what type of ward you work at. Work at state mental health facilities with exceptionally long stays often provides contact with patients who are profoundly impaired. Work on adolescent wards can sometimes be chaotic with ^'ed physical acting out. Facilities may provide short term vs long term care. It can be tough but can also be rewarding.
