Suicide: Suicide is never a way out. Everyone probably has thoughts of it once in a while, but life has so many interesting changes coming up that it is a shame to miss them. Yes your family dr, psychiatrist, psychologist and even the er can help. Talk to any or all of them and they will get you out of this rut.

You could possibly: A psychologist would most likely want you to tell your parents what you just told him; if you would not tell your parents, this is something that he would need to tell your parents. Then you would need to discuss a plan of treatment--if you could not come up with a plan to keep you feeling safe from self harm as an outpatient, then you might need to be admitted to a psychiatric ward.
