A member asked:

Im using following tablets for my asthma treatment 1)ruptadine&montelukast 2)ambroxol, terbutaline&etofylline 3)sertalin r they safe for long term use?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If ok'd by the FDA: Any medication can have bad side effects in a few people. Medications that are approved for long term use by the FDA are considered safe, but doctors and patients still keep an eye out for undesired reactions. Also, "long term" may mean 6 weeks, 6 months, 6 years, etc... Doctors on HealthTap that are U.S. doctors generally do not have much information on foreign medications.
