Inhaled steroids: It sounds like your son may have allergic asthma. The best maintenance treatment would be an inhaled steroid like Pulmicort or flovent.

Cetirizine : You could use a non drowsy antihistamine like cetirizine or loratidine, assuming your child is over 2 years old. Hope this helps!
