Should i discontinue dmt2 med since my a1c is 6.5 and return in 3 months to test it again as experiment? just die & exercise. i'm tired of taking med.

Not recommended: Don't stop any meds without talking to your doctor first. I know you are on metformin and onglyza (saxagliptin). At this point, i recommend continuing metformin but if you want to stop something, stop the Onglyza (saxagliptin) instead. Please see your doctor to discuss this before doing anything. Good luck.

Agree with Dr. N: You have good control of your diabetes and should not discontinue or change any of the medications without talking to your doctor. You risk harming your health by going off the meds. Exercise is good for you but it is not a substitute for meds.
