Depends: Most insurances require the patient to be at least 18 although a few are allowing as young as 15 if they meet significant medical necessity. If the patient or family self finances the procedure then it's up to the surgeon and their comfort level and their experience with potentially younger patients. There are no absolute contraindications to operating on younger patients as long as they're healthy.
