Low platelet count: Keep your appointment and voice your concerns to the hematologis who will be able to track this into an appropriate diagnosis.

Many things: This is a common problem. There are several things. Liver disease, medications, alcohol use, viral infection, other infections, nutritional deficiencies to name a few. Occasionally it can be a serious blood disorder. Sometimes it has to do with a lab problem. This is often easily solved by the hematologist.
