A member asked:

I had some lab work come back and was referred to a hematologist. according to these numbers what could be going on with me? wbc: 17.3, mcv: 76, mch: 22.8, mchc: 30.1, platelets 545, neutrophils absolute: 12.6, lymph absolute: 3.4, immature grans 0.2?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The blood count you posted is used in context of other information to give you the possibilities of what may be going on. The best option you have is to wait to see the hematologist. The elevated white cells and platelet counts could be due to inflammation or infection however since there is not enough information it is not possible to tell you exactly what is going on.
