Doctor saw red marrow hyperplasia on shoulder mri. mri was for rotator cuff surgery. surgery delayed now. sent to hematologist oncologist. blood work ordered. if all bloodwork is normal how do i proceed? is this common?

Discuss with surgeon: The process you describe is exactly what YOU want to happen. Your need for repair has not changed, but a new finding should be explored before surgery to assure that the repair will be successful,and heal quickly. If this is viewed as ‘not significant’ your surgery will be scheduled and continue as planned. Good luck and follow post surgery PT for best results
