Highly: Surgery for a pinched nerve in the neck must be carefully decided, but if the nerve is causing increasing pain, progressive loss of strength, increased loss of sensation, or the process is enlarging or threatening spinal cord, surgery is clearly the way to reverse problems, or protect against further deterioration.
