You don't mention whether you have a bulging or herniated intervertebral disc or spur as a cause of the radiculopathy. I also like to avoid surgery in the neck vertebrae, but would like the opinion of a neurosurgeon as to what your treatment options are with respect to physical therapy, pain management consultation & epidural corticosteroid injections. A second opinion is often worthwhile in cases

Surgery should be considered as a last resort, but if you are experiencing spinal cord compression, progressive weakness or muscle atrophy, bladder function issues, or intolerable pain, surgery may be needed. Motorized cervical traction may be a possible intervention if not yet tried. A second opinion regarding surgery is advised.
