Yes: Nonsurgical treatments include physical therapy, traction and steroid injections. These can often make symptoms resolve without surgery. However, if symptoms progress, or shoulder weakness occurs, you may need to reassess the role of surgery.

Yes: You may try nsaid, oral steroids and an esi series, along with exercises. If the conservative care fails, then surgery may be nevessary.
