Why does my heels go numb a lot?

Back or bottom?: I would need to know what part of your heel that is effected. It can be shoe pressure, nerve compression on the side of your ankle, or other causes. Tell us what part of your heel, when it occurs, if your are overweight and what type of shoes you are wearing when you notice the problem. This will help us answer your question.

Not good: See a doctor. It could be a tarsal tunnel syndrome. (this is when a nerve gets impinged or pressed on.) if you have a foot that flattens this would increase the chances of this occuring. You may also have an issue with your back where a nerve is being compressed.
