A member asked:

When i lay on my left side my right leg goes numb. my back and legs are in pain a lot. i had a mri it came back normal. what could be wrong?

You may have: a nerve entrapment or impingement syndrome locally, like at the back, hip or thigh level. I'm assuming your MRI is of the thoracic and/or lumbar spine, not the leg. If your MRI was of the leg, then it likely would be normal. You may need to see a neurologist to properly diagnose and treat your neuropathy or myelopathy. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap.
