Very touchy: A lot would depend on local laws, what the medical power of attorney says, and the reason for the resuscitation. If the person is down because of a suicide attempt, that can be murky, but if they are suicidal and suffer another affliction requiring resuscitation and they have a dnr, then it should be heeded. If there is any question, the hospital has resources to help.
