After someone is labeled "dnr" can their doctor turn around and offer dialysis?

Yes: The term dnr is widely abused, and is supposed to address cpr/intubation/defib and related resuscitative support at/near death. It often enlarges to include any life-sustaining treatment--so circumstances and setting vary. By itself, it does not mean "do not treat, " but it can be made to, in the right setting (or wrongly, if misunderstood). Talk w/the dr.
