Does scoliosis get worse with time?

???? CAN: If you are an adolescent the chance of curve progression is real, therefore frequent follow ups are important, so that proper treatment can be instituted in a timely manner. In adults the curves do not normally progress, associated symptom may increase.

Maybe: There are several variables that can play a role. If still a teenager, there is a risk with further growth. Once you are fully grown, the risk is remote if the curve is less than 50 degrees unless it involves the lower back. Also, developing low bone density can also play a role in progression.
