Several options: Your options depend on your ultimate goal, the location and number of congenitally missing teeth, condition of the remaining teeth, as well as available space. Some of the options may include replacement with a removable appliance, fixed bridge work, dental implants, and/or orthodontics to either close the space or create additional space to allow for the other options.

Several options: Depends on whether an adult or child. If child ortho can be done to close the gap(s), then dental shaping or veneers can be done for cosmetics. Or space can be maintained and implants can be done to replace the missing teeth. Or bridgework can be done. If adult, similar techniques can be done as above, but it depends on the placement/distance of adult teeth surrounding the area of missing teeth.

Do you need them?: Either replace them or move the others around. Depending on which teeth you're missing, a solution exists for both the short-term and long-term. It probably involves multiple steps and requires you to make decisions about which option you like the best. Possible treatments include (but are not limited to) braces, implants or crown & bridge work. Your dentist can guide you through the best path.

2 solutions: Best solution is to have your other teeth optimally aligned by an orthodontist (who may be able to close some of the spaces), and then have missing teeth replaced. Second option is to replace the missing teeth without optimally arranging the existing teeth. Option 2 not as stable or long-lasting as option 1.
