What should you feed your child while they are teething?

Frozen bagels.: The cold helps numb the gum tissue so they're not as uncomfortable. Worked great for both of my children.

Whatever they like: There are no dietary restrictions for teething children. It is a very common misconception that teething is painful when there is no physiologic reason for it to be so. Teething is most likely an itching somewhat uncomfortable but definitely not painful so anything that can abrade the gum tissues gently can help. That is why teething rings seem to calm irritable children who are teething.

Soft: Soft easily chewed foods and make sure your child gets plenty of fluids.

Soft diet: A soft diet is usually most comfortable for your child. Adequate nutrition and hydration are very important. Sometimes cold can be soothing so chilled baby food may help.
